This man is a credit to the Palmetto State as well as his nation.
"The Obama administration is “changing names” of the Benghazi survivors and “creating aliases” to keep them hidden from congressional investigators and the American people, Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) told Greta Van Susteren on Thursday night. He also said the administration is “dispersing them around the country” to keep them out of sight.
Gowdy’s stunning claims were overshadowed by CNN’s bombshell report that revealed there were “dozens” of CIA operatives on the ground in Benghazi on Sept. 11, 2012, the night of the deadly attack that killed four Americans. Meanwhile, the CIA is taking “unprecedented” to keep whatever it was doing in Benghazi a secret, according to the report.
“Stop and think what things are most calculated to get at the truth? Talk to people with first-hand knowledge. What creates the appearance and perhaps the reality of a cover-up? Not letting us talk with people who have the most amount of information, dispersing them around the country and changing their names,” Gowdy said."
Rep. Trey Gowdy* (See earlier posts at bottom) appears by all standards to be man of honor, incorruptible, and fiercely determined to get to the bottom of not only how it was that the Consulate was attacked and why no help was sent, but also the extent of the cover-up that followed in the wake of the siege. Few politicians would risk their careers in government and any potential positions that would normally be open to one upon departing the political arena. Gowdy, along with a few others such as Representatives Darrell Issa and Jason Chaffetz, however, appear to be unwilling to let this scandal be swept under the carpet.

A witness said his car “suddenly jackknifed” before crossing the median and hitting a tree, causing a ferocious explosion that reportedly threw the engine block of the brand new Mercedes Hastings was driving 30 or 40 yards from the car. Mercedes engine blocks typically weigh between 290 and 540 pounds. It would take tremendous speed or force to throw one nearly half the length of a football field.
“It sounded like a bomb went off in the middle of the night,” another witness told the TV station. “The house shook, my windows were rattling.”

"What has been revealed as a result of some research at universities is that it's relatively easy to hack your way into the control system of a car, and to do such things as cause acceleration when the driver doesn't want acceleration, to throw on the brakes when the driver doesn't want the brakes on, to launch an air bag," Clarke said. "You can do some really highly destructive things now, through hacking a car, and it's not that hard."

"Law enforcement officials have also discussed the unusual intensity of the fire inside Hastings car. “It’s highly unusual since gasoline generally doesn’t burn that hot,” the report adds. The video of the car fire appears to resemble a “thermite” burn."
There is something so awful and sordid about the Benghazi attack, the purposeful denial for armed support for the besieged, and the Watergate-besting cover up that leaves me wondering what has happened to our society. The media wanted blood in Nixon's time, they were all over Iran-Contra and virtually anyting that G.W. Bush even thought about doing, but aside from a recent report by CNN that the CIA may have have almost three dozen operatives in Benghazi at the time of the attack, the press has been dutifully silent.
The press may be one thing, but where is the outrage of the People?
We seem to to become so wrapped up in our personal lives that we demonstrate utter apathy and a disinterested attitude towards what may well be a systematic campaign to enforce a totalitarian state in which any peeps of protest are met with surveillance by the NSA, targeting by IRS apparatchiks, and a glossing over or outright ridicule by a compliant media that functions as an arm of the Party.
I have to cut this post short tonight, but I will leave as another example the death of Michael Hastings, which occurred under circumstances so suspicious as to scream out for a full investigation yet have been ignored by the People. Hastings was the guy who had earned a reputation for reporting what few others would even consider, including the remarks by Gen. Stanley McChrystal and some of his staff officers that eventually resulted in the General's resignation. In June of this year, Hastings' died in a car wreck that has "marked " written all over it. This happened about a day after he identified close friends that he had a big story to write, that he was going to lie low for a few day and that he was being investigated by the FBI.
